About us

Founded in 1922, Delhi University has grown into one of the largest and most competitive universities in India with many academically and socially active colleges, teaching institutes and centres. This academic setting that was initially having three colleges as its base has now expanded to a monstrous body of upwards of 80 departments and 16 faculties offering numerous courses and attended by several thousands of the students. Inheriting the spirit of endless struggle and truth-seeking advocated by the founder, the University has followed the mission of patriotism, truth-seeking, innovation and dedication, met the needs of the country and the times, pursued knowledge relentlessly, and developed cultural education with no bias, thus realizing the historical mission when it was foun ded and helping to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

It’s also grown into a vigorous system of teaching and research institutions, attracting scholars and students from around the state, the nation and the world. Its libraries, labs and research facilities are top-notch, and so too its robust campus life, including athletics, arts, leadership and beyond. The purpose of the informatics centre is not only to be a learning centre, but also to promote a value-oriented approach and foster the development of responsible citizens.
