Highlights The M.Sc. in Biotechnology, which started up in 2011, is one of the college’s most mature and polished programs. This interdisciplinary course discusses advanced topics such as Stem Cell Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Recombinant DNA Technology, Bioanalytical Techniques, Genomics and Bioinformatics including Biostatistics etc., as well as basic subjects like Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics (classical & molecular), Microbiology (including industrial microbiology), Virology and Immunology. Pupils acquire sound theoretical training and practical experience in well furnished laboratories. Research skills are key, and students are able to develop and carry out independent projects, analyze data, and can even publish their findings. There is also a 1-year research focused stream that aims to give very intensive training in the current best levels of the topics, and trying to get them ahead of other programs candidates when they are dealing with research and publication like life after this.
