Highlights The course structure and curriculum for the undergraduate B.Sc. Program had been devised in such a way so as to provide best of the knowledge to the young undergraduate students. In addition, advanced knowledge in specific areas of interest in physics like Astronomy, Nanotechnology, etc., are imparted to the students through the inclusion of these course-materials in the curriculum, which aims at enabling young students to get familiar with contemporary research within various fields of Physics. In this regard, third year of B.Sc. Physics program includes a project where the students are required to take up a small theoretical/experimental based research project, which would ensure grooming of graduate students into future researchers/scientists. The B.Sc. program in our department aims at creating and developing competent and skillful Physicist who with their rigorous training are ready to solve problems related to Physics. Our goal is to ensure that when our students graduate, they are equipped with necessary theoretical and experimental tools so as to enable them in becoming an accomplished researcher/scientist or professionals in their own right.
Technology Based Learning
Technology-based learning is the way forward and SRMUS has made considerable strides in ensuring technology-enabled classrooms, both online and offline. High-quality education through technologies in broadcasting, telecasting and webcasting has made collaborative and interactive learning a reality. Mentoring, peer-group interaction, social networking, knowledge repository and digital streaming are some of the means of achieving participative and collaborative learning. SRMUS also maintains well-equipped laboratories for basic sciences and IT which are regularly upgraded in step with the students’ requirements
