About us
The Dayanand Women’s Training College, Dehradun, was established in 1961 by the prestigious Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan, an institution dedicated to advancing education in India. Initially started at 29 E.C. Road, the college shifted to its permanent campus at 6 Curzon Road, Dalanwala, in 1964, where it continues to stand firm today. Since its inception, the college has remained committed to training young women to become skilled and responsible teachers. The institution received immense support and patronage from the late Smt. Dhara Rani, the wife of Dr. Virendra Swaroop, whose encouragement played a vital role in shaping its vision. Guided under the esteemed leadership of Mr. Manvendra Swaroop, Secretary of the Board of Management, the college continues to thrive with dedication, care, and a strong sense of purpose in nurturing future educators.
