Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed at Government College of Education, Chandigarh
(i) Admission to B.Ed. Shall be made on merit based on marks obtained in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government/U.T. Administration and Panjab University.
(ii) Eligibility: A person who possesses the following qualifications shall be eligible to join the course:
(a) Candidates with at least Fifty Percent Marks either in Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce/Home Science/B.B.A./B.C.A., B.A.L.L.B., B. Com. L.L.B., or Bachelors in Engineering and Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks OR any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. However, when calculating merit, marks obtained in graduation (the lower qualifying degree) will only be considered for admission to the B.Ed. Course.
(b) The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the central/state government, whichever is applicable.
