The Fashion Designer Kids' Wear Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Fashion Designer in creating innovative, fun, and age-appropriate kids' wear designs. They will assist in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for kids' wear design, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist the Senior Fashion Designer in researching and analyzing kids' wear fashion trends, competitor products, and target markets.
2. Develop and refine kids' wear designs using sketches, computer-aided design (CAD) software, and other design tools.
3. Create prototypes and samples of kids' wear designs.
4. Collaborate with the Senior Fashion Designer to select materials, colors, and finishes for kids' wear designs.
5. Prepare technical drawings and specifications for kids' wear designs.
6. Assist in the development of marketing materials for kids' wear designs.
7. Attend design meetings and presentations.
Qualifications:
1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Fashion Design, Kids' Wear Design, or a related field.
2. Strong portfolio of kids' wear designs.
3. Proficient in CAD software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Rhino3D, or SketchUp.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of color and style.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
