Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist the shoe designer in researching and analyzing fashion trends, competitor products, and target markets
2. Research current trends, materials, and technologies
3. Prepare technical drawings and specifications for footwear prototypes
4. Assist in the development of marketing materials for shoe designs
5. Attend design meetings and presentations
6. Communicate with factories to ensure that designs are produced accurately
7. Assist in the evaluation of prototypes and make recommendations for improvement
8. Manage footwear samples and maintain design archives
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in footwear design, industrial design, or a related field
2. 1+ years of experience in footwear design
3. Strong understanding of footwear construction methods and materials
4. Excellent sketching and rendering skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
