Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure
2. Assist in data collection, ingestion, cleaning, and transformation processes
3. Work on data modeling, database design, and optimization for storage and retrieval
4. Contribute to the development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and workflows
5. Participate in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting data-related issues
6. Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies in data engineering
Other requirements
1. Pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
2. Strong understanding of databases, data structures, and SQL
3. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, etc.)
4. Familiarity with data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques
5. Basic knowledge of distributed computing and cloud platforms
6. Previous exposure to data engineering tasks through coursework, projects, or internships
7. Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
8. Understanding of big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Kafka, etc.)
9. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
10. Familiarity with version control systems like Git
