Job Description – Junior Education Counsellor (Study Abroad)

Reports to: Senior Education Counsellor / Head of Sales

Role Objective

To support the sales and counselling team by engaging with prospective students, understanding their academic and career aspirations, and guiding them towards suitable study abroad programs. The Junior Education Counsellor plays a crucial role in generating leads, maintaining relationships, and ensuring smooth onboarding of students.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Interaction & Lead Generation

• Make 100 calls per day to prospective students from company-provided databases.
• Understand student requirements regarding country preference, course choice, budget, and eligibility.
• Identify prospects and mark follow-up dates in CRM.
• Share initial information about EduChampion’s services and study abroad process.

2. Prospect Nurturing

• Schedule and confirm online/offline meetings for Senior Counsellors or Head of Sales.
• Send follow-up emails, WhatsApp messages, or brochures to interested students.
• Record all communications in the CRM system accurately.

3. Documentation & Coordination

• Collect and verify required academic and identification documents from students.
• Assist in profile creation for further evaluation by the senior team.

4. CRM & Reporting

• Update CRM after each student interaction, ensuring follow-up reminders are set.
• Prepare a daily summary of calls, leads, meetings booked, and follow-ups pending.

Learning & Development Expectations

• Gain a working knowledge of top universities and courses in target countries (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, Spain, Luxembourg).
• Learn about country-specific eligibility criteria, language tests (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo), visa requirements, and application timelines.
• Understand EduChampion’s sales process, pricing models, and service offerings.
• Learn basic closure techniques and student objection handling.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of calls made per day/week.
• Number of qualified leads generated.
• Meetings booked for senior staff.
• Timeliness and accuracy of CRM updates.
• Student satisfaction feedback on initial interactions.
