Highlights The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery deals with teaching, evaluating, carrying out research, and providing surgical healthcare services in the diagnosis and treatment of trauma, diseases, deformities, and defects of the face and jaws. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE To make the students well versed with the basic knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry To make the student well trained to perform minor oral surgical procedures including dental implants To make the student well trained to handle medical emergencies arising during dental treatment To make the student equipped to handle trauma in the maxillofacial region. To handle major oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA
Candidate must have completed BDS awarded by a University or Institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
MDS in Public Health Dentistry: Admissions are made on the basis of merit of NEET examination conducted by the authorized agencies of the Central Govt. and through Counselling
