Highlights Master of Laws is a postgraduate academic degree in law. The LLM program is designed for individuals who already hold a first degree in law (such as an LLB or JD) and wish to deepen their legal knowledge and expertise in a specific area of law. LLM programs offer a wide range of specializations, allowing students to focus on specific areas of law based on their interests and career goals. Common specializations include International Law, Human Rights Law, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Environmental Law, and Intellectual Property Law. A significant aspect of LLM programs is the research component. Students are typically required to conduct independent research and produce a substantial thesis on a legal topic of their choice.
