Highlights The Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Cardiology is a three-year full-time super specialty program offered by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. NMC recognized 3 year course in DM Cardiology. Currently the department has 3 seats. The department of cardiology stated its services in 2006 with outpatient services and has rapidly improved its infrastructure and capabilities. Apart from dedicated Cardiac Cathlab and Cardiac ICU, the cardiology ward houses 20 inpatient teaching beds as well. Bed side ECHO has been the norm since 2009. DM cardiology courses were started in 2011 and in 2019 it was increased to 3 seats per year.
