The Department of Mathematics was established in 1964. Initially, mathematics was offered as one of the Discipline subjects in the B.A. (Programme). Later on, B.Sc.(Hons.) Mathematics was introduced in the year 2006. At present, the department offers B.Sc.(Hons.) Mathematics to the students of all streams under UGCF-2022, based on NEP 2020. Besides the honours course, it is provided as a Discipline course in B.A. (Prog.) and a General Elective course for other B.A.(Hons.) and B.Sc. (Hons.) courses. The department also offers various courses like SEC (Skill Enhancement Courses) and VAC (Value Addition Courses) as part of the UGCF-2022.
