Highlights The Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) at the University of Mumbai offers a B.Sc. in Information Technology (IT). The program is a three-year undergraduate science degree that covers topics such as software, databases, and networking.
The Mumbai University (MU) has a virtual classroom at its Kalina campus and became the first public university in the country to introduce this facility. This facility will be used to deliver and live-stream lectures, workshops and seminars through A-VIEW, which will comprise of a complete virtual learning tool.

The University of Mumbai (Bombay) was established in 1857. In August, 1864, Premchand Roychand, a merchant prince of Bombay, offered to the University a donation of Rs. 2,00,000 “towards the erection of a university library which may be an ornament to the city, and by becoming a storehouse of t he learned works, not only of the past but of many generations to come, may be the means of promoting the high ends of the University.”
