B.Sc. Information Technology
The B.sc. Information Technology programme provides a comprehensive understanding of modern computing systems and hands-on experience. Over six semesters, students explore a wide range of subjects, including wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things, data mining, machine learning, blockchain technology, data analytics, cloud computing, and computer networks. The curriculum also covers full-stack development, software engineering and testing, digital marketing, AR/VR, and multimedia, ensuring exposure to both core and emerging technologies.
A key feature of the programme is its focus on practical learning. Students work on real-world projects, build portfolios, and participate in workshops conducted by industry professionals. The programme also offers certification opportunities through platforms such as Coursera, NASSCOM, Spoken Tutorial, and NPTEL, along with globally recognised certifications such as AWS, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Microsoft Power BI, and AR/VR technologies. Internship opportunities with organisations such as ICTACT, ELGI Equipment Ltd., Accent Technosoft, Nxtlogic, Twirl Tact, and ISOC provide valuable industry exposure. Students who perform well academically can also enrol in the Advanced Learner’s Program for deeper specialisation.
