It progresses to more specific subjects such as contemporary history, world wars, colonial and post-colonial studies, microeconomics and macroeconomics, public finance, political ideologies, international relations and comparative politics. The plan was to give students both breadth and analytical depth, teaching them about the interconnectedness among history, economics, and politics, as well as the relevance of those fields to current events. Learning at Roots is very interactive and experiential, with students engaging in debates, case studies, research projects, seminars, and discussions that connect academics to real-world applications.

Others have joined the corporate world accepting employment in market research, content writing, business analysis, HR, PR and social research. Public service, non-governmental organizations and news outlets are also eager to hire B.A. graduates in policy analysis, journalism, community organizing project management and social advocacy. Campus recruitment drives are conducted by the college with the aid of its placement cell, career counseling and workshops on skill development, resume writing, interview skills and professional communication are also organized to make students job ready. Intensely recruiting companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Uber, Flipkart and Cognizant amongst others are coming on campus. The average CTC is around 4-5 LPA, with the highest CTC of 10lpa.
