Highlights The programme includes advanced courses in Biochemistry, Immunology and Medical Microbiology, Genetics, Food Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Applied & Environmental Monitoring and Management to make the students globally competent as well as updated on the recent trends in the field of Microbiology. To develop a Scientific temper and enhanced critical analytical Research ability, the syllabus comprises of topics on Research Methodology including Literature Review, Research Design and Biostatistics. Syllabus also contains material on Scientific writing and Preparation of a Research Proposal. The students do Dissertation work and document it as Thesis. Internship: There is regular promotion of Experiential Learning through Internship.

About K.J. Somaiya College of Science & Commerce
Somaiya College of Science and Commerce is one of the undergraduate colleges in the Vidyavihar suburb of Mumbai, India, offering courses in science and commerce.
Since then the college is celebrated for its faculty, research culture and democratic leadership. The college advisory committee, academic advisors, research coordinators were instrumental in its success. The yearly academic introspection in this entire journey is an annual audit.
Equally commendable are the untiring efforts of the support staff from the college office, laboratories and library etc. They take different programs being scheduled from time to time that help them enhance the quality of their work and contribute towards enriching the organization’s culture.
